I couldn't imagine what he could've been so impressed about that he felt motivated to contact me, so I checked to see what my LinkedIn profile said:

Software Engineer at Xilinx
FPGA Physical Implementation Tools, Placer group

I personally find this insulting. He is obviously not interested in my skills or in me as a person, because there isn't much in my profile that describes me.

He is just spamming me in a blind attempt to meet his quota of monkeys. The worst thing is that he is copy-pasting some template that pretends to be "impressed". And that is dishonesty.
